Urban Climbers Turn Construction Craine Into Their Personal Rope Swing
The vintage photographs of Empire State Building construction workers are iconic images, showcasing in equal parts the might of the old-fashioned blue-collar worker, and the terrifying conditions they were forced to work under.
One of the reasons the photos are so famous is because, oh I don't know, it's CRAZY to go up that high! But these urban climbers decided to tackle a sky-high Brooklyn crane with just the help of some rock climbing equipment, and a little stupidity.
"This is definitely the top 3 craziest things I’ve seen people do on TikTok," Luca commented.
It's shocking that the group was even able to access the bottom of the crane, let alone climb all the way to the top. And to go bungee jumping with just the help of a harness and a hook? Well, that's sheer lunacy.
"Bros putting all his trust into a $20 Amazon harness," itzoren pointed out.
Not only is this very illegal, but one wrong step, or one basic misunderstanding of construction equipment, could lead to certain death or the death of innocent bystanders below.
As evidenced by the growing number of subway surfers, young people in New York are growing more and more reckless. Relax kids, Spiderman is fictional.
